Background:
Dr. Chan's research interests are in the areas of simulation, optimization, and statistics. Current research topics include - Agent-based simulation,
- Discrete-event simulation,
- Robust simulation,
- Multiscale simulaiton,
- Intelligent agent simulation of electricity power markets,
- Semiconductor manufacturing (scheduling of cluster tools), and
- Queueing networks with blocking.
We are looking for highly motivated graduate students with a master degree in statistics, mathematics, or operations research/industrial engineering (mathematical programming, stochastic programming, and agent-based simulation).
